On Tuesday, the famous beach race took place in Etape Bornholm, which is quite unique in its kind. It is the shortest of the stage races, only 5.8 kilometers long, but also the most difficult and challenging for many. 4 of the kilometers are on sandy beach along the water's edge or in loose sand dunes, much like in a desert. Either you really like this very special race, or you hate it.

Highlights

  • Norwegian Vikings, however, mastered the unusual terrain very well.
  • The course turns inward and through the large sand dunes, up and down in the loose sand, until some steep inclines must be tackled.
  • This is a spectacular race in incredibly beautiful surroundings.
